I really cared about Steve Haskell and took his death very hard. He was the first of my contemporaries to die. I was only 19. I spent an amazing summer hanging out with him and his brother, Mark, and Keith and Randy, going to the beach in Steve's old clunker car. We bought gas for 50 cents a gallon with change we scavanged. We hung out at their house and listened to loud music. What amazing hair that guy had! Those were the days. Rest in peace, Steve.
